In 2022, MUJI Islington was reopened as the first MUJI Community Store in the UK and we were asked to design the greenery.
The Community store is an initiative aimed at bringing communities together, hoping to shine a spotlight on the small businesses with a focus on sustainability. With this in mind, our plants were locally sourced and regularly maintained to ensure longevity. The decorative pots selected were made out of recycled, reused or natural materials.
We also hosted a pop-up plant shop within their store and collaborative community events.
